Rabobank being protective…

Consumer protection
To be able to stay in charge of your own bank account, it is usually possible to undo such a payment (a company could e.g. deduct more money from your account than agreed upon)…
Exceptions
It is ‘publicly known’ that such payments for lotteries cannot be undone (in Dutch: ‘loterijen’).
However a collegue of mine stumpled upon another party that seemed to enjoy this ’special treatment’: the Rabobank claimed to be unable to undo an incorrect payment for a car insurance policy of Interpolis (daughter company of Rabobank)!
In most cases you cannot blame a parent to protect their daughter(s)…
Luckily my collegue could talk some sense into them and got Rabobank to undo the payment…
